It’s been a rather cool but pretty day across the Pine Belt. As we head into Thursday, we will have a cold front move through the area, bringing with it a high chance for showers and thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and early evening. There is a chance for one or two storms to be on the strong side, but at this time, it does not look like a typical severe weather set up for this area. The rain and storms will move out of the area by 6 p.m. After that, rain chances will diminish rapidly but there will be a slight chance for a few lingering showers on Friday. Temperatures will be in the mid-60s on Thursday and then on Friday will to the mid-50s. By Friday night, we will see temperatures bottom out in the lower 40s. For Saturday, expect mostly sunny weather to return with highs in the mid-50s and lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s. It now appears likely that mostly sunny and cool weather will prevail into early next week with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s and lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
